in theory yeah... do a search on Short Path Distillation (SPD) its kinda hard to vaporize the HCl salt efficiently... so they convert it to the freebase, then vaporize and collect with a 'coldfinger' type approach

If it's still leaving some sludge on the glass after one reX, then reX it one more time.

Bee sure to rinse it well with cold, dry acetone when complete as there is lots of unseen garbage in that mother liquor/acetone that it's been sitting in. A layer of that garbage will coat the crystals if they are not well washed after the reX.

Swim likes to drop some crystals into the bottom of a test tube or better yet into a flask (500ml)
And just apply gentle heat and watch the smoke form and circle around inside the flask, extremmlllyyy mesmerizing.
And sometime swim even inserts a straw and inhales for extra goodness
