Supercritical methanol is one of the most promising ways direct to heaven (hell for fnord probably) imaginable.

I am for sure no coward when it come to pressure and shit, but I strictly advise not even to think about SC MeOH at home.

Is this dimethyl sulfate related or something?

Why not just bubble methanol through hot concentrated sulfuric acid? Is that too difficult, for some reason?
