Title: A/B extraction of lactone
Post by: 18294 on August 19, 2004, 08:25:00 PM
SWIM knows of an OTC product with the following ingredients:

Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate, Isopropyl Alcohol, Butyrolactone, Dibutyl Adipate, Citrus Dulcis, Cl 26100 (D&C #17).

He thinks it would be possible to simply add NaOH  to turn the GBL into NaGHB salt, then boil off the rest of the stuff. Does anyone have any comments?

Where do I get info on citrus dilcis and D&C 17 so it can be pulled off of butyrolactone.
