Title: Soldering Fume Extraction Unit for home lab?

This will help alleviate some of the unreacted Hcl gas into a safe salt. aka, Hcl + Naoh = NaCl + H2O. (i think.) either way, it makes salt, which is harmless.

Post by: ApprenticeCook on September 20, 2004, 05:35:00 AM: hypo is right, the suckback will be huge unless managed, you would have to make sure there was +ve pressure in the gassing vessel to maintain forward flow then when you finish gassing maintain pressure with air flow and remove bubbler otherwise your hard work to create the salt will be rooted by the suckback of base.... oh oh....
