SWIM says, "Here in California, Toluene is not available. Xylene seems to bee the next logical choice for a non-polar. I have looked at many stores and have found one product that lists as it's ingredience: (it actually says "ingredient" implying a singular ingredient) Anyhoo, here is what it says: Aromatic solvent (and then on the next line) Xylene. It also says: Maximum VOC: 874 grams/liter 7.3 pounds/gallon 100% by weight (whatever that is supposed to mean). So my question is this: Is this an acceptable non-polar solvent? I assume the aromatic part means an additive for a more plesant odor has been mixed in with the xylene but am I posibally wrong on this? I used it once and it worked fine, but then again my yeilds are a bit spotty as I am a new bee and have only a handfull of batches under my belt. Seems to work just as well if not better than other more commonly found NP's such as lighter fluids and camp stove fuels I have tried. Any advice or critism welcome. Thank you.
