any ideas on the seperation of caffeine and ergotamine tatrate out of caregot tabs and/or suppos ?

I suspect you aren't interested in the caffeine...  ;)
Better get used to the thought of column chromatography when you want to travel that road.

Yes, if you extract the ergotamine tartrate. Use the same procedure outlined on my page for hydrolysis of ergocryptine to get lysergic acid.
