Has anyone used this to isomerize safrole? Let us say that someone distilled safrole and froze it to check purity, then followed the transition metal method for isomerizing it and then took the distilate and threw it in the freezer again to see what happened; would that person be surprized to find the distillate was a slight orange color and did not solidify at all? If everything came over the condensor at the expected temps, what would it mean if the oil was orange and why won't it freeze at all? Is the 30-70 ratio enough to keep it liquid?

Also, would a person be surprized to find the yield was only 70% or so and that the remaining liquid in the distilation flask would not boil even if placed on a stove and max heat applied? Granted this would be a small stove in theory...
