Hi there,
Just wondering If Allyl Bromide can be made from Allyl Alcohol without using H2SO4.
I'm asking because I remember some bee suggesting it because he/she read it in one of their books.(sorry can't find the post).
Thanks,
Regards,
FF

Sure, PBr3 or Br2/redP are both suitable alternatives to 48% HBr(aq)/H2SO4. Plain 48% HBr(aq) should also work, but probably with lowered yield.
