New psychoactive compound ?
« on: December 21, 2002, 03:27:00 PM »
Cyclohexanecarbaldehyde

1.   If I change in the Knoevenagel Reaction Benzaldehyde (etc.) with cyclohexancarbaldehyde, will the synthesis of nitrostyrenes also run?

2.   Is their any knowledge about the psychoactivity of the final compound as analogs of  amphetamine and methamphetamine?

3.    Is their any knowledge for simple synthetic routes to this compound?

I think, the final compounds are  not restricted by law.

The compounds are known, and show very little psychoactivity. They are mainly peripheral sympathomimetics, like pseudoephedrine. Cyclohexyl-2-(methylamino)propane is sold OTC as Propylhexedrine.
