« on: April 23, 2004, 06:07:00 PM »
so i'm a canadian looking to order sum h3po3 from a us company. the first i called said they can't sell to students, only to a business.   so i was think that i'll call the second company, ask to open an account, think of some totally ficticious company name that somehow pertains to water analysis,   give them my buddies name CC#, addy the whole bit and order my shit.   will this arise suspicion?

anxious as a mother fucker.....

I'm not familiar with canuck bidnesses but when you have a company in the US you have a tax-id. Most companies want to have that when you order from them for various reasons..

Something to think about

Look around,

Do some more search, it's around here.
Why go US ????
Much easier to do some search and buy from a Canadian chem supplier, we get a LOT around here that will sell to "student"

What does your friend think of what you intend

What does your friend think of what you intend to do?
I doubt that you are actually intending to follow through with such a ridiculous plan of attack, but still the question still stands! I hope you realize how foolish your plan is and that you do not proceed!
Why dont you 'actually' start a company?
Low cost, high returns  :P

lol.   i suspect ya'll US bees don't know how easy we have it up here.   i've since acquired various other chems with no id, pick up, and a fake name.   hell they didn't even ask me how to spell it!  as for my friend,    he trusts me entirely and i wouldn't fuck him over, thus why i'm abandoning that avenue.

so i can start a company,  no real name attached, without ID?

i'm still hunting for local suppliers, if anyone could supply some sort of a directory of canadian chemicals suppliers i'd be greatfull, preferably in ON somewhere.   there must not be very many canadian comps. cause of the 3 i've found, 1 won't sell to individuals, 2 won't sell in canada because of something to do with 1, and 3 quoted me at a 580% (yes 5.8 times) markup of the average price.

Suggestion.

If you are not confident in yourself and dont feel up to setting up a dummy front, then i suggest that you pretend you run a business via EMAIL, to a chem outlet.
And for christs sake, get off your arse and look in your phone book for suppliers, it cant be that difficult!!

dr. lucifer, as valuable as your criticism isn't, i can assure anyone who may be able to help that i have indeed been off my arse, as you put it, scouring telephone directories and phoning potential suppliers.

Canadian companies, although more lenient than their US counterparts, still have reporting requirements to the feds. Dealing directly with these companies may be asking for trouble. It may be worth the extra expense to have a friend set up a company and take any potential heat, or find a business that likes cash. It isn't hard.
