SUnlight suscessfully made 2-CH from the nitrostyrene. Nitrostyrene prepared with nitromethane and 2,5DMB.  the exrtaction volumes are large but withthe regents being water and HCl and zinc i dont see why a bucket would not be well suited for this purpose. with such low dosages yeild might not be that much of a factor depending on the desires.
