Title: Diisopropylethylamine?
Post by: Weatherman on February 03, 2001, 05:19:00 AM
In Shulgins DPT he uses diisopropylethylamine.  Can another chemical be substituted?  Or perhaps it has another name?  We cannot find information about this chemical.

Triethylamine should work just as well, and it is a very common chemical.

Diisopropylethylamine is also called "Hünig's Base".

Look under ethyldiisopropylamine  :) . It's just a sterically hindered strong amine as an acid scavenger.
