If swiy does his homework, and finds a decent supplier of pink-red bark, n,nDMT can bee had for even cheaper than 5meo bought over the internet if he extracts it himself!

Purely out of interest, what would a HI/red phosphorus reduction (which cleaves methoxies from aromatic rings) do to 5-MeO DMT? Would it have any effect on the the indole ring, ie with HI adding across the double bond (the pyrrole part), or would this not happen due to resonance effects?
