Don't ask how it happened, I wasn't there so I really don't know. But here is the problem.
Basically, after drying with Mag. Sulfate, about 100mls of methanol was accidently added (always label your shit). So, now swim has a solution containing DCM, ketone, and methanol.
The question is should he go ahead and wash it again, or can he just distil? Tried to look it up with TFSE, but nothing specific to this question.

just distill and it'll be fine,no harm done

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you just wash with water as well? save yourself distillation time. everything seems to be nonpolar except the alcohol

That's what he was thinking, but he hated losing anymore product than he has to. He lost a lot due to a fuckin emulsion.
Interesting, very interesting.....
Regular distilled was with maybe 300mls. What do you think?
