Sodium ethoxide? Upon contact with water, it is hydrolyzed to ethanol and lye. I wouldn't call that a "prodrug" though. You cannot eat sodium ethoxide.

Trichloroethanol does not decompose to ethanol, but it is in itself active as a depressant, and in much lower quantities than ethanol.
