quinine, quinidine and promethazine are known cyp450 inhibitors.
theoricaly, taking quinine or promethazine should weaken the codeine's effects.
So the information given on the adh site is wrong ?
I searched for cyp2d6 Inducers and found nothing.
Does somebody know what could enhance the cyp activity ?
My idea was that with inhibiting all the cytochromes p450 but not the cyp2d6, body would release more cytochromes and then more cyp2d6.
Glutethimide is an enzyme inducer but i don't think it enhance cyp2d6 activity.
It looks weird to me that the codeine-glutethimide mix could be a good high just due to the depressant properties of glutethimide.
Does sbody knows if glutethimide boosts the amount of codeine changed into morphine ?
if not, it would be the same thing to take alcool, benzos or miltown to depress the cns...
Does somebody know an enzyme inducer(especially cyp2d6) ,or something that could be as great as glutetimide with codeine?
thanks, skanic
