Sodium sulfite -> HI

I've been thinking about this one, but not in the pseudo.  Use it to make HI ahead of time.  I have been poking around and bookmarking posts like crazy, plus reading over argox's method for HI using phosphoric and KI.

For the sodium sulfite route, I think you'd still want to use

argox's trap setup (with custom vacuum adapters)

(https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/hydriodic.argox.html) to generate aqueous HI.  Original post and thread is

.

Anyone care to help out with any dangers or byproducts we should be aware of?

Oh, and while you're at it, you should also consider formic acid.
