3-Trifluoromethylphenylpiperazine route?
« on: August 15, 2000, 03:14:00 AM »
I'm sure you could use isosafrole, or pieronal..but i'm no chemist and id like to know inof on how to achive this chemical.. It's said on rhodiums pharmaclology page, that this chem mixed with benzylpiperazine mimcs MDMA, or is prefered by lab animals over MDMA.. Any starting points would be appreiciated as i'm not a chemist. thanks.

Start with trifluoromethylbenzene and nitrate it in the 3-position. Reduce the nitro group to an amine. The 3-trifluoromethylaniline is then condensed with bis(chloroethyl)amine hydrochloride to give 3-trifluoromethylphenylpiperazine. Or you could buy it from an online supplier of research chemicals.
