So, whats the deal with ALD 52?

I have heard of a chem called ALD 52. Does anyone have any info on this molly? Strength, duration, difficulty in synthin'? And most importantly, legal status?

It is 1-acetyl LSD. About the same difficulty of synthesis as LSD. Strength/duration very similar to LSD. Legal status: not explicitly sheduled, I think.

I remember reading that people have been convicted for posession of ALD 52, on the argument that it instantly hydrolyzes into LSD. Perhaps I have it confused with some other substance, though.

Would that just mean acetylated LSD? Wouldnt you have to go through LSD synth and just acetylate the results?

Yes, ALD-52 is said to hydrolyze easily to LSD, but neither I nor Shulgin knows of this ever having been measured.

dazey: Yes, ALD-52 is "acetylated LSD". The most convenient synth of this is to first make LSD and then acetylate it, even if there are other methods.

My dad said he used to eat that shit all the time....it was called orange sunshine or some crap like that....its not illegal....but you need to synth the lsd-25 first to change that into ald-52...so the whole process is basically illegal

here's the scoop.
the orange sunshine was ald-52 as described by the people in court who got caught with it. they tried to use that as their defense as not illegal. but they were in trouble anyway because you first have to go from lsdto get to it. i am thinking that ald-52 is what people refer to as white fluff. anyone else got a clue on that? i think that the white fluffy is the product maby or the ergotness and the others are the indole.
any ideas on that topic?
