Thanks for the CH2O2Ph + (CH2O)n --HCl--> MDBzCl patent. Thats pretty cool, too bad it produces a mixture of isomers and byproducts.

Still a cool idea.  :)

You could use excess methylenedioxybenzene and then seperate it from the 3,4-methylenedioxybenzylchloride after the reaction.

Good idea.

SWIPP always wanted to try the MD derivative of BzMgCl + MeCN + NaBH4 --THF--> Amphetamine, so SWIPP can see if it works for MDA.
