BB try folding a chairmen tissue up and placing the pH paper underneath it and placing a few drops of the liquid on the tissue. the soak through should give an easer read on the Ph paper. Let it transfer just enough to wet the strip, don't let it sit long.

It was unclear if swim let his IPA set overnight all 3 times it was added...or,  just the first time.  If just the first time,  then what was time left to soak the following 2 times?

Just the first soak was done over night, the next two were soaked until pillmass settled. 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. The first two pulls were the least cloudy. Acidifying the alkie and then neutralizing with baking soda dropped the cloudiness to the bottom and some yellow/orange (barely noticeable) came to the top.

What I gather from this thread, is positive results from white 60's and negative for 30mg redhots and 120's.

Swim dreamt that it went through an h3po3 rxn just fine.

Swim stands by his original post and will say that the end product IS eudragit free!

I should have a yield report from Swim's dream (hopefully) sometime tomorrow.

He used 3 different generic store versions of white 60's with chlor and two different generic store versions of white 60's with trip. There are only SO many choices! One would assume that eudragit is in one of these 5 different lot #'s!!

Although it was just a dream, sometimes dreaming is believing.

uhm, swibb did a batch of redhots and as a method of testing for purity swibb based the raw pfed. upon basing the yellow oil became apparant so in frustration swibb put the 2 layer solute away for a day and when he cameback al the yellow had gone to the bottom layer of the solute and from the np (xylene) swibb retrieved some very very nice fb x-tals. the xylene was evapped off to form crystals. so it does work with red hots as wel but it may even be possible to clean redts with a simple a/b and then a days worth of patience.

Swim dreamed of running the 70gs of pseudo and got back 37 gs of gear. Not a bad yield for 50 boxes of pseudo. Par for the course concerning pseudo pulled with alcohol.

Had he A/Bed the pseudo originally, the yield would have been less on the front side and higher post rxn. A matter of preference, more than anything. Swim will bee dreaming with this extraction on white 60's for now on. That is until they change the formulation and it is no longer effective.

Do anybees out there see a problem with using MeOH in place of anhydrous IPA and still adding 91% IPA as mentioned.   Swim knows the MeOH will pull more gakk, but was just wondering.  The rextals should take care of it.
