Our most popular UK brand/source of psuedoephedrine has now brought out cold and flu tablets.
Description :
White, elongated tablet containing:
Paracetamol 500 mg
Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 60 mg
60mg MMmmmmm
White, sounds good (no red !!)
easy extraction ?? must be ??

Why do you think white pills with 500mg of paracetamol are easy to extract??? I would not assume that at all. Just Plain white 60mg pills require effort to get reasonably pure psuedo.
-
The typical uk red pills only contain 30mg and the red (iron oxide) requires an ice water wash to remove it (sometimes removing some of the psuedo as well).
An acetone wash for the cold and flu pills would seperate the paracetamol and psuedo. Further extraction methods can then be performed.
See other posts about paracetamol removal
!the more psuedo and paracetamol in the pills, the less gak!

I highly doubt the red is iron oxide, I could bee wrong but Iron is very poisonous in high doses.
