Title: Shipping container for phosphorous acid
Post by: goupinya on July 03, 2003, 03:40:00 AM
I found a company who will send me some phosphorous acid flakes, but they said the smallest amount they will ship out is a 60 lb. drum. Now when I think of a drum- a 55 gal. drum comes to mind. Can anybee tell me how big of a container would be required to contain 60 lbs. of phosphorous acid flakes? I can't have a 55 gal. drum showing up at my shipping address, lol. I have searched only on the internet for this, I live in the midwest US, would this bee something I could possibly just stop and pick up at a local farmers co-op store, avoiding shipping all together? Thanks in advance for any insight offered.

60 lbs of h3po3 is probably about a 35 gallon keg.if unsure of the validity of the vendor, don't order!that stuff is becoming more watched by the day!

60lbs/2.2 = 27.27Kg
H3PO3 d=1.65
27.27/1.65 = 16.5L

....so not that big.
..now whats that in imperial?

16.5L would fit in a 5 gallon bucket no pob. but then it will probely be in another containment package of some kind i wuold guess.
