Title: how to dispose of silicone oil?

is there anything to be considered when disposing of silicone oil?
it's totally unreactive, so is dumping it with household waste ok?

For a small amount, yeah, straight to the garbage. If you've got a lot of it, you may want to make other arrangements.

Most of these have a container for used engine oil.
