Well since I would have to characterize this as a non-source I figure its ok to post the url:

http://www.glory-of-the-garden.com/essentia.htm

.

They also will not sell bitter almond oil.

I suspect that all of this means that if you want to buy
sassafrass wholesale then you have to get an FDA license.
Or course once you have the license then you have to keep
records of any sales you may make. Say you buy 55 gal of sassafrass oil and sell it in 6 ounce bottles. Well, then you would be required to keep a record of every 6 ounce bottle of sassafrass oil you sell retail.
It's just a way to keep track of where all that sassy oil goes.

This is from a web site that sells minimum one pound lots of an essential oil.
I am guessing that the one pound figure puts them under dea control:
Sassafras Oil     (Sassafras albidum (Nutt.) Nees) China #01218 DEA REQUIREMENT

well, as i was looking through the S-list section of a place that shall remain nameless, this happened to catch my eye...

27. SASSAFRAS OIL, IMITATION   100ML   SAS240-100ML   $25.00
28. SASSAFRAS OIL, IMITATION   500ML   SAS240-500ML   $42.00

now, what do you think about that?
but, my real question for the crowd is;

at 25$/100ml & 42$/500ml what do you think it is?

bzzz...?

if they're selling large quantities of essential oils, then they are probably claiming that they sell essential oils to retailers who will rebottle and resell the oil.  You're required to have a license to sell sassafras oil, but the purchase of the oil is still somewhat "legal" for personal use.

IMITATION

What, did no one else catch that little tiny hard to see fucking caps lock bold print statement: IMITATION sassafras oil.

Why you gonna buy imitation? That way you can try an make some ketone from it, and then come here and bitch that the procedures dont work, when the real problem is that people keep buying fucked up sassafras.

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again: shop smart, ask questions.

1.What plant is the oil extracted from?
2.What region of the world is this particular oil gotten from?
3.What is the method of extraction?
4.Do you have a compository breakdown of the oil?
