Title: Is Caustic Soda & Caustic Potash the same thing ?

I have checked the search engine , there are many referenes to both these chemicals , but knothing stating weather they are the same or can be used instead of each other.
Im looking at converting safrol to isosafrol

Soda, sodium
Potash, potassium

Caustic Soda is NaOH
Caustic Potash is KOH
