Title: Methylenedioxy Removeal??

I dont have much use for xTc, but I have a great need for phenylacetone.How can this ring be removed from safrole, without harming the rest of the structure?I would guess possibly a weak acid?

Tried the AFSE to no prevail, hopefully someone wil be inclined to disscuss this topic.
