Sorry Some are abbreviated according to the article now that I have actually read the whole thing!! I'll go back and see if I can correct the abbreviations
https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/nitrostyrene.references.html (https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/nitrostyrene.references.html)
Everything I posted can be found under nitromethane condensations part four... all references for 3,4-methylenedioxybenzaldehyde (piperonal), 75, [2,7,15,19,22-26]
And part seven...2,3,4-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, 73, [4]
2,3,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, *, [1]
2,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, *, [5]
3,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, 78, [2,4,6,7]
3,4,5-triethoxybenzaldehyde, 55, [4]
Or just any references or information on nitromehtane condensations would help also.... There is very little abuot this on rhodiums page. And would be alot more if all the references in that articel could be found. Hell I have a hard time getting JOC, ACS, and other common journals especially these. I'm sure there are some other analogues in that article that are of some interest thatn just the two that I want to find. I really don't know if anybody would have any way to look these up or they might would have been already.

Really? Never noted it...
nitroalkane + benzaldehyde + TFSE = success!
benzaldehyde + nitroalkane + aq MeNH2 a la Ba = quantitative yield!
