I can't quite understand what your saying there, you never even name the journals.

Sorry Some are abbreviated according to the article now that I have actually read the whole thing!! I'll go back and see if I can correct the abbreviations

https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/nitrostyrene.references.html

Everything I posted can be found under nitromethane condensations part four... all references for 3,4-methylenedioxybenzaldehyde (piperonal), 75, [2,7,15,19,22-26]

And part seven...2,3,4-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, 73, [4]
2,3,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, *, [1]
2,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, *, [5]
3,4,5-trimethoxybenzaldehyde, 78, [2,4,6,7]
3,4,5-triethoxybenzaldehyde, 55, [4]

Or just any references or information on nitromehtane condensations would help also.... There is very little abuot this on rhodiums page. And would be alot more if all the references in that articel could be found. Hell I have a hard time getting JOC, ACS, and other common journals especially these. I'm sure there are some other analogues in that article that are of some interest thatn just the two that I want to find. I really don't know if anybody would have any way to look these up or they might would have been already.

Beilstein abbreviations of chemical journal names
« Reply #3 on: April 14, 2003, 09:06:00 AM »
The abbreviations written before editing the post were not the usual CASSI (Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index) abbreviations for journal names, but the ones used by Beilstein. A list of them can be found in the paperback edition of Beilstein Handbüch für Organische Chemie. I had already photocopied the whole list but I see you managed to get them right by yourself. Are you sure you really need all those old foreign language references? After getting someone to photocopy, scan and send them, you would have to find out what they say. You see, that is a lot of work for getting information about a reaction which is IMHO sufficiently documented here in the Hive and also in the Rhodium archives. OTC gems from the past times are a different story.

Really? Never noted it...

nitroalkane + benzaldehyde + TFSE = success!
benzaldehyde + nitroalkane + aq MeNH2 a la Ba = quantitative yield!

I was simply asking anyboy with convient access to any of these to please post them. I didn't demand the first to read my post to go find every single one. I just asked that if anybody have these handy to please post them. Like if you have to travel to town and rent a book or copy a bunch of pages then scan them just fuck it. If you have it lying around in your stack of chem articles like rhodium and could quickly just scan and post in a minute to the board then please do if you wish. Sorry, for trying to learn a lil something

See man this is why I pm'd you first.. I told you..
