Do you think it`s possible to methylate P2P forming MDP2P without killing the carbonylgroup ? I think methylation will cause a sidereaction with the carbonylgroup of the P2P, so this carbonylgroup needs to be protected during the methylation. But I don`t know how. Any ideas ?

It is unfortunately impossible to turn P2P into MDP2P. Sorry.
