aliphatic amines OTC, useful?

hi all, after reading through some previous threads about epoxy hardener, i just thought id add somthing here...

1. There is a MYRIAD of epoxy hardener types on the market, some of which contain 100% aliphatic amines (if only they were the right ones!).

2. After reading through the material safty data sheets on some of these products i found that some contained Triethylenetetramine and what they called "reaction products of phenol and formaldehyde" and phenol...

Another type contained amogst other things, diethylenetriamine, isophoronediamine, dimethaneamine etc the latter seems interesting no?

the point is youd have to search extensively to find somthing that might be useful, so, in order to save swims time and put more time into somthing more worthwhile, swim asked me would any of these chemicals be useful and would it be hard to seperate them? i doubt any of it will be useful or easy to separate but swim just wanted to make sure...
