i just heard a statistic that said that 'in oz some 20% of lab busts are from undercover work/tipoffs from chem suppliers'.
so, this being the case... how much of a dent would a 22L reaction vessel and a 10L rotovap make to a chem supplier guy's attention if it were being sent to a company, say...
somethingorother chemical redistributors inc, somewhereorother
with the intention of being then sent on to another company, say...
somethingorother2 research inc, somewhereorother2?
could a guy expect a phone call from the supplier saying: oh you want a 10L rotovap do you? so what kind of research are you conducting? oh really?
or does that kind of shit ever happen? chems can always be split up between different suppliers but the glass has got me kind of concerned. its not the sort of thing that i want to be finding out trial-and-error style after the fact, you know?
i know it would be prudent to set up nested front companies, but for just one guy all on his lonesome (dont trust nobody) it would be a little bit of work.
what are your opinions?
1 front company - split up the orders around
multiple front companies - split the orders around that way
1 front redistributor and a nested front company or more to scrub the paper trail.
i'm not worried about fires or explosions, i can handle myself as far as safety is concerned... but the undercover element worries me, as i have mentioned. any advice would be appreciated.
