Fact:

Treating melatonin with LiAlH4 in dry ether followed by acid hydrolysis would lead to 5-MeO-NET.

Verdict:

5-MeO-NET would not be a fun way to die.

Did you reduce Melatonin to N-Ethyltryptamine, and your bioassay resulted in a bad experience?
