Title: urine pH strips
Post by: biotechdude on February 05, 2004, 07:47:00 AM
If a clumbsy bee accidently dropped his much loved (and expensive) pH meter/electrode (doh!)....and was in need of a very quick and cheap replacement until he gets the real deal again would.....

Those urine test strips available at the pharmacy have a pH reading in the order of 5-9.  This is a greater range than pool test strips, and comparably priced.

Has anybee used them...or should he use something else?

hey biotechdude, ph paper made from cabbage is bloody excellent...really good colour change...i just boiled down 1/4 cabbage worth of juice until it was a thick purple liquid and soaked about 6 coffee filters in it...the colour charts are on the net...try searching for "pfitser-red cabbage"
