Interesting choice of RoA there Newton, as the norm back in the day was indeed oral. Coincidentally, it's one which is imprinted in my mind too because I made such a mess of it.

The common dose was reputed to be about 12mg. I went for a lowly 10mg due to domestic issues at the time. Unfortunately I misread the scale and took 100mg.

I instantly spotted my error and spent the next half-hour scared witless, trying to vomit. I just couldn’t. Luckily nothing happened and I was okay. Unluckily, the ride itself was a little lack-lustre.

Like you I got away with it, but took the lesson. Glad you are okay. :-)

thioglycolic acid and its esters eg. Methyl thioglycolate

Does anyone have any info regarding how thioglycolid esters are used in clandestine labs? I've never heard of their use before. Some brief research tells me they are used as reducing agents -given their inexpensive and accessibility, it seems to me it would be an attractive substance to use (despite its smell).

It's used in methamphetamine resolution with AIBN.

Father and son charged after raid on major MDMA lab
John Crouch | AAP
Thu, 24 August 2023 4:22 PM

A father and son allegedly linked a national crime syndicate have been charged after police discovered a large MDMA lab on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Police said the lab was the largest-scale MDMA lab of its kind found in Queensland and they uncovered plans to make it even bigger.

Police allegedly found 10 kilograms of MDMA and 20 litres of MDMA oil when they searched a Currumbin Valley property on Wednesday.

They also found a shipping container that contained chemical drums, manufacturing equipment and 20 kilograms of relevant chemical substances.

Cash was also found, along with two one-kilogram bags of MDMA allegedly hidden in an oven.

Police also allegedly found plans for scale up production at the lab and connecting it to a drug trafficking network.

A 43-year-old man and his 24-year-old son were arrested at the scene.

Police also searched their NSW homes in Bombo and Surry Hills and allegedly discovered $81,500 in cash, a money counter and 255 grams of MDMA along with drug manufacturing chemicals.

The men were to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with a number of offences including drug trafficking and manufacturing.

"This is the first significant commercial scale MDMA lab we've located in Queensland," Detective Inspector Bradley Phelps told reporters.

"There was certainly evidence located and will be alleged to indicate that this was an ongoing drug trafficking syndicate.

"They were looking to ramp up their production levels to even more significant amounts than what we located at the property yesterday."

The raid was part of an ongoing operation targeting the drugs manufacturing in Queensland.

....actually now, it's just ketamine  HCL 50% and MDA HCL 50%  and its colored pink......java

It usually contains:

- Ketamine
- Caffeine
- MDMA

sometimes with cocaine, MDA, bk-EBDB, 3-MMC, and once in a blue moon 2C-B, N-Acetyl-MDMA or methamphetamine thrown in as well...

These mixtures are known as "Tucibi", "Tuci", "Tusi", "2C-B" or "Pink Cocaine"

DMTrott, thank you for your service!

Also, 5-MeO-DALT is a biiiitch!

I tried a bunch orally and had a not wholly unpleasant experience then decided that vaping drugs is a kick in the pants.

And kick in the pants it was. My pants kicked my ass so hard an Adidas logo is still branded in my left butt cheek.

I placed 25mg on a foil and hit it hard. Immediately a panic unlike other I've ever experienced ensued. Body load like an elephant atop an elephant was crushing my chest. It was difficult to even breathe. I ran to the bathroom and hugged my toilet and prayed to our unmerciful God to end it all. 45 minutes later I was fine, albeit scarred emotionally. 15 years later I am faithfully awaiting the cancer which no doubt will rear it's head.

Huh, this really does just encourage bees to go even more DIY. They will never curtail the flow of these chemicals, as suppliers in China, India and others abroad will simply change labels and go about as nothing happened and no one is the wiser.

Indeed, just a way for the DEA to stay relevant.

As I'm frequently asked why I made it into a PDF and not an app or a website....

WHY IS THE DRUG USERS BIBLE A PDF?
The Drug Users Bible was written to make a difference: to reach as many consumers as possible, and ideally, to imbed a harm reduction check-point into the individual’s drug-usage process, whatever their drug of choice.  But how to reach the consumer who is perhaps in a social setting and is short on time?

The answer for many will be via their mobile phones; and the provision of instant access to something the individual actually owns (the PDF). This sense of ownership is undoubtedly a factor in terms of motivation to reference.

Further, upon opening the PDF there is no requirement to search or to think or to work anything out. All that is needed is a swipe down to that drug of choice.

Note also that the book’s layout was specifically designed with this in mind: for each drug the essential data is at the top of the page, followed by a break in the form of a photograph, and then the ‘delve deeper’ in the form of text and detail.

For many, this is surely the most cogent scenario in terms of preventing tragedy. It’s possibly as simple as it gets. Alternatively, the PDF can be used on a PC or laptop or wherever is required.

To begin, I don’t think this will do much in regards to people in the US obtaining any of it. It may effect US distributors primarily. Even then, I don’t quite understand it, if a distributor sells a chemical and that chemical is used by this person (unassociated with the company, only a customer) to synth a substance then the distributor gets fined $250k? That doesn’t make any sense to me. I figure if distributors mind their “P’s and Q’s” being liable for what someone does with their chemical is ridiculous. That’d be like charging acetone distributors if it’s found in a clandestine lab.
It's not about sense. It's about fear.  They can't completely forbid them from operating but they can nudge them into being so paranoid they can pretend to be doing things. :P

And no I think you were thinking GBL. Tempted to post a GABA to GHB route around the net wherever possible just to be petulant now.
