Well,P just completed LaBtop's reductive amination..hopefully.Double distilled ketone (28g),11g MeNH2 freebase gassed into 86g MeOH,as per Daddy's ratios.Added 3g NaBH4,while keeping the temperature around 7C with a super cooled brine solution. The colour changed over 9 hours (LaBTop said 36 hours; or 7 hours and lose some efficiency)from pale clear yellow,to a brownish, and then to a pinky red colour. But still smelled methylamine-like.Followed LaBTop's neutralizing,A/B workup, but in with the (hoped to be)light tan coloured freebase MDMA/DCM is a whiteish cloud like substance floating around. And the freebase still smells sort of like methylamine .Is P's first time, so P doesn't know what to expect, how things smell, etc.
If the white stuff is MeNH2, will it boil off when the distillation starts,or screw things up?Or what is it?Is it supposed to smell like that? Thanks for any hints or tips, as P is going to stuff the whole lot into the freezer and go to bed before he messes it up.Thanks agin..P
