Title: adipoyl chloride in nylon kits
Post by: stratosphere on January 28, 2004, 12:33:00 PM
apparently adipoyl chloride/hexane is a common component in nylon polymer kits used by middle school students etc for scientific demonstrations... assumably by reacting this with an excess of glacial acetic acid one could produce acetic anhydride or other anhydrides.
