yes a lot of references there, but i dont find an answer on how to make Methylecgonine from tropinone.. In this old text they reduce tropinone with raney Ni, Is this a process that will work and under what yield? it is this reference i would like to see...

The Findlay paper here converts tropinone to 2-carbomethoxytropinone:
