Title: Storage of Ergotamine
Post by: Xicori on August 07, 2002, 07:29:00 PM
High bees!

In my dreams someone got his Hands on 700mg of Ergotamine Tartrate - not very much, but still not bad  8)

Then he gassed the nice white powder with argon, sealed the container very well and put in into the freezer - to store it for 2-3 years without decomposition.

But then he asked himself if the -20°C in the freezer are good for the goodies, or should he put the ET into the refrigerator at ~4°C?

thanks...

Either temp should be fine. It can't be too cold so generally you could say that colder is better. Ergotamine could even be stored at liquid nitrogen temperatures of -196 without damage.
