Newbie getting started with GHB/similar analogue
« on: June 29, 2004, 01:18:00 PM »
SWIM has been reading a lot of things from Rhodium's site reguarding GHB, and i've been pretty dissapointed with things i've come across saying that lactone isn't available anymore (or is scheduled). Is this a dead end now?

Please help or point into the right direction to get started.

Thanks all bees,

Rhodium

synthesis of butyrolactone from pre-precursors

In many parts of the world, it is very hard (or at least very risky) to obtain gamma-butyrolactone due to it being a watched/listed precursor. There are several methods available for the synthesis of butyrolactone from pre-precursors though, including GABA, THF and 1,4-butanediol. UTFSE for details, this has been discussed extensively in the past.
