Does anyone here have any experience with the great looking procedure
to initiate Grignard-reactions in wet ether with ultrasonic, as outlined
in https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/grignard.wet.html (https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/grignard.wet.html)
?
On the other hand some discussion of the topic is also appreciated, since
I don't semm to fully understand the whole thing... because it looks so
microscale and I don't seem to find the passage in the text where they say
"after you've got the micro-reaction going, slowly add more R-MgBr and R-COH
to get the real rxn started..."
I don't need a 40L ultrasonic bath for that purpose, do I ?

I't turns out that it is not a weldering machine, but a cell disrupter.
Here is a pic.
