Ni metal hydride

what can Ni metal hydride be used for?i searched for it but i only found other metal hydrides....can it be used as a reducing agent or do you have to do something else to it first?

if memory serves, normally they are made in situ from a Ni salt and NaBH4 and used for nitro reductions.

That would be nickel boride, a hydrogenation catalyst.

I assume you opened up some reloadable batteries and want to use the stuff inside for reductions? I doubt that you can do anything useful with it.
