Title: Oz Oxone in 1Kg+
Post by: spectralshift on December 16, 2003, 06:43:00 AM
I'm basically a spoilt brat to tell you the truth, I can't be fucked with the 500g shit.

I want a big tub so I don't have to be concerned with it, 5kgs would be OK (just OK).

is it around?

no im not ordering it from dupont, otc.

If you can get this OTC in the UK, you can get it anywhere.

Look for 'chlorine-free shock' or 'non chlorine oxygen shock' - as it says on the tin:

pentapotassium -bis(peroximonsulphate) bis(sulphate)

I think they are trying to say:

2KHSO5·KHSO4·K2SO4 [potassium hydrogen peroxymonosulfate sulfate (5:3:2:2)]

40 quid for 5 Kg in the UK but probably far cheaper wherever you are.

Edit - safety data sheet says potassium persulphate > 90%

Moron.
It's simple, approach the establishment you are buying the 500gm tubs and ask at the counter if a larger container is available and can be ordered. If not try the next shop or just open several 500gm tubs.

WTF is so hard with that?

Moron. So you just don't have an idea?

I don't want to do that, that's what's wrong with it.
The point of bulk buying is that it's cheaper; dick.

Yeah, I guess asking for a bigger container will most likely get you on some government list of suspected drug makers and terrorists.

> it's just that retail pool suppliers don't manufacture containers.

Nominated for dumbest post of the week award.
You know, sometimes the stupidity of people really gets to me.
It is safe to assume that that this certain pool supply store is not in the business of manufacturing containers, but has the thought occured to you that this dealership might have bigger containers with the goods in their storage room, or that they are able to ORDER it for you?
SHEESH!
Is life in a modern society really that complicated? ARE YOU ALREADY ABLE TO WIPE YOUR OWN ASS AND TIE YOUR SHOELACES?!

Any chance we could make this a sticky thread?

Could something be done about not allowing Australians to Post in the Chemistry forums, until they pass an I.Q. test?

The majority of these fucking idiots are constantly giving up sources and flagging chemicals, in public forums, that would be very easy for the authorities to control, in Australia.

Congratulations Spectralshift, you should get a police citation for making their job easier for them.
