Title: is 2,5-Dimethoxypropenylbenzene acid sensitive?

would it endure in a performic rxn? what think da bees?  will it behave like asarone with its 2-MeO group or like iso-dillapiole also with a 2-Meo group?

thoughts?

I believe Drone once mentioned that he had acid sensitivity problems with 2,5-MeO-propenylbenzene... Better use an epoxide route for that one just to be safe.

Better yet, make a small test tube experiment by dissolving some in acid-containing solvent, analyse the results from a few runs at different temperatures and times, do a TLC and post your results.

I'm not fat just horizontally disproportionate.
