Azeotropic DMF and DMSO removal

(1/1)

Osmium:
Is there a way to remove DMF or DMSO azeotropically? I seem to remember that one of them forms an azeotrope with acetic acid, does anyone know for sure?

I want to exchange either one of those solvents against a simple aliphatic alcohol or water, but unfortunately the solution cannot be evaporated completely and the desired solvent then added to the residue. The exchange needs to be somewhat gradually, because once the dissolved stuff precipitates it's very difficult to get it back into solution.

I typed dmf azeotrope in google, first hit proved it forms azeotrope with formic acid... Now, may I kiss your ring?

lugh:
According to this document on solvents found on the web, xylene forms an azeotrope with dimethyl formamide  ;)
