Title: MD-PPA / MD-Ephedrine
Post by: wandering101 on November 13, 2001, 12:46:00 AM
Anyone got synths to get to these? I'm imagining that many of the classical MD-xA synths simply AREN'T going to work.....
Would the synth from PPA to 4-MA work for the MD-PPA?
(They're for COMPLETELY different ideas, believe it or not.....)

You could research about 'biosyth' Fermenting piperonyl in yeast culture to make a carbonol intermeadiate (MD-Lpac) that is then reductivley aminated into md-ephedrine or md-ppa if you use propanolamine. I wonder  if you could do a reduction with ammonia and get a wiered MDA analogue.

Check out Post 122768 (not existing). The condensation between piperonal and alanine is the idea. These reactions between benzaldehydes and aminoacids have been discussed lately and there are patents too. Haven't got an access to that J.Pharm.Soc.Jap. article though...
