SWIM will likely follow Dr. Drool's (at Rhodium's helpful site) synthesis and would apreciate some advice:

SWIM has introductory university chemistry (and lab), and had no problem with them. SWIM plans to take subsequent chem courses in a few months, including organic. SWIM has found sources (a wide variety, ordering from many different companies) for the precursors needed for the Dr. Drool synthesis. Glassware shouldn't be difficult, as it can easily be procured from ebay of similar. SWIM lives in Canada, so restrictions on glassware shouldn't be too severe.

SWIM has UTFSE, and there seems little doubt that the Dr. Drool synthesis is the easiest for him. Further, people seem to be pretty successful with it. It's unclear, though, how much experience these people have.

SWIM's question is this: Knowing that SWIM has basic chemistry knowledge and introductory experience in the lab, has throughly researched the procedure beforehand, and doesn't skimp on chemicals or equipment, how likely is SWIM to be successful with the synthesis?
