P2P from bromobenzene
« on: April 20, 2004, 01:37:00 AM »
Hi!

I have read on "secrets of methamfetamine manifacture" that its possible to make phenilacetone
from bromobenzene, sodium ethoxide and ethylacetoacetate.
I haven't found any reference of this reaction in rhodium website.
It's this reaction good or not ?
It's possibile using clorobenzene instead of bromobenzene ?

take it from a bee who knows from real dreamspace experience.....

IT DOES NOT WORK AS FESTER SEZ!!!!!!!!!!

it is all a lie.....

there are literature references that seem to infer that this type of reaction "should" work to produce ketones but it does not work with bromobenzene and ethylacetoacetate via the sodium ethoxide route.....

trust me, i have already berated fester about this lie at length........

but there are other usages of bromobenzene me friend.....

seek and ye shall find.....

the rhodium link DOES have a lot of got info so check it out.....

jus a ravin inta the birds rf eye in the afternoon.......
