Title: piperonal

They give molar ratios for oxidation of piperic acid to piperonal, but what if someone phatium doesn't know wanted piperonylic acid? Any one know the ratio of piperic acid to KMnO4? Would it be fairly simple to use the MDbenzoic acid to make MDbenzene then to bromosafrole with allyl chloride and FeCl3? Yeilds would more than likely be on the low side tho.

Yeah, I would say that yields would probably be on the low side.
