hello everybody.
today SWIM maybe have found a new (pseudo)ephedrine substitution.
The story starts....
SWIM today went to the pharmacy dressed in heavy winter jacket, scarf and a tremendous fake sick expression.
SWIM went to the first little stupid pharmacist girl and asked while sneezing,some pseudoephedrine pills.
The stupid little lady suddenly for searching the pills SWIM asked her.
The lady came back and gave SWIM some other pills which Swim didnt reconize.
the lady said that the pseudoephedrine pills i asked her where finished and that these would have the same effect.
Swim looks on the back of the package and reads the ingredients.Swim was pretty disappointed that there where no
pseudoephedrine inside those pills.....however SWIM didnt wanna look suspiscious so he took out his almost empty]
wallet and payed the pills.
SWIM smiled at the stupid little girl and went out of the pharmacy.
Once SWIM was out side,SWIM got really pissed off and start sayng:"goddamit...fucking bitch!"
obviously SWIM wasnt so happy so he decided to go home and watch a movie.
after the movie was finished SWIM searched information on the internet about the ingredient of the pills he got called
PHENYLEPHRINE.
swim was looking at its molecular structure and suddenly SWIM had a big smile.
SWIM saw that phenylephrine is very similar to ephedrine exept that it has another hydroxygroup at the second carbon of the phenyl
group and a missing methyl group on the second carbon of the phenyl outside chain.
now SWIM knows that hydriodic acid is an deoxydising agent and will remove all the oxygens from the structure.
however swim isnt that good in chemestry and he is wondering if some bees could help him figure out how to bond a methyl group to that carbon.
Swim thinks that is should be easy to bond that methyl group.
if this may come out easy, it would be a great help to those people who live in an area where pseudoephedrine is scheduled or hard to get.
please let swim know if u have a solution or info on the synthesis SWIM just mentioned
put down whatever u know on the subject please.
this could be kick in the nuts to the DEA man!!!
